How DevStudio uses Saharix for software contracts

A deep dive into how a leading software agency secures their international client deliverables.

DevStudio is a Lagos-based software agency with clients across Nigeria, the UK, and Canada. Before Saharix, they relied on wire transfers and personal trust to manage client payments — a system that worked until it didn't.

The problem

In 2022, DevStudio lost ₦4.2M on two projects where clients disputed final payments after deliveries were made. The agency had no structured way to prove delivery or hold funds in reserve. They needed a better system.

The Saharix solution

DevStudio integrated Saharix into their standard contract process. Every new project begins with a milestone contract — typically split into design, backend, frontend, and launch phases. Funds are escrowed at the start and released per milestone.

The results

Since switching to Saharix, DevStudio has processed over ₦180M in milestone payments with zero successful disputes against them. Their client onboarding now includes a mandatory Saharix contract as part of the signed agreement.

Their advice

"The hardest part was getting clients to trust a new system. Once they saw how transparent and protected they were, it became a selling point for us." — Emeka O., co-founder of DevStudio.
